Infanticide No "JOY" to Celebrate

Infanticide No “JOY” to Celebrate

As many of you may know, this is the time of year that Jewish people have a “joyous celebration” lasting for days called “Passover”. What most people don’t know is the sick truth behind the story of Passover that deserves no “joyous celebration”. However, it does deserve to be exposed for the horrible lie that it is…

“Passover” means the final plague ordered by God in the story of Moses trying to get Pharaoh to release the Jews from their bondage in Egypt. What every preacher I’ve ever heard always does in recounting this story, is to ignore the repeated times in the story in the book of Exodus, where it actually states that Pharaoh DECIDES TO LET THE ISRAELITES GO, and God intervenes and “hardens Pharaoh’s heart” (meaning God changes Pharaoh’s mind so that he WON’T let them go) in order to get to bring the next plague on all the Egyptians, the final one being mass infanticide.

Here is one of several passages – one of several times this occurs in the story that Jews and Christians always tend to avoid:

Exodus Chapter 7, verses 3 and 4:

“And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. But Pharaoh shall not harken unto you, THAT I MAY LAY MY HAND UPON EGYPT, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.” (Also take note of ‘my people the children of Israel’, another endless reference found all throughout the bible of supposedly God ordaining the Jews as God’s “chosen race”, which as we know is nothing but man made racist bigotry, with often genocidal results whenever encountered in mankind’s history)

Exodus Chapter 10, verse 1:

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him.”

Exodus Chapter 10: verse 20: “But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the Children of Israel go.”

How many of you were aware of this fact in the Exodus story that happens several times, so that God can bring his next torment? How many of you were aware that the Bible documents that Pharaoh made the decision to let the Jews go multiple times, and God “changed Pharaoh’s mind” multiple times just to get to his next plague? God as quoted in the King James version passage above, actually tells Moses of his plan to do so beforehand.

And how many of you know what the final plague was? Nothing like a swarm of grasshoppers or frogs or even rats to annoy the Egyptians. It was God sending his angel of death to KILL EVERY FIRSTBORN CHILD, specifically every FIRSTBORN SON of ALL the Egyptians.

Do you think this is a story worthy of 2000 years of an annual “JOYOUS CELEBRATION”?

Here is a brief reference to the Passover story from “International Business Times” entitled “5 Facts You Need to Know” that of course doesn’t bring this inconvenient fact into the report. It is just the typical popular narrative everyone has heard that doesn’t include the part that God “hardened Pharaoh’s heart” numerous times to change his mind, just so that he would be able to perform the next torturous plague:

“In a nutshell, after the Israelites endured decades of slavery in Ancient Egypt, God appeared to the Hebrew prophet Moses and told him to ask the pharaoh to let the Israelites go free. Despite many warnings, pharaoh refused, and God punished Egypt with 10 devastating plagues. After the final and most horrific plague that killed the firstborn sons of every Egyptian, pharaoh broke down and let the Israelites go.”

How does one embrace a book as “holy” with accounts of such a torturous, vengeful and monstrous God? How does one teach these stories of such a God to their children? How does one sustain and participate in a “joyous celebration” that has at its foundation mass infanticide ordered by God? How do we not immediately recognize this as in direct contradiction with Love? Is God “Love” or is God a killer of innocent children, as documented in this story in Exodus, just to eagerly show his vengeance and violent anger? What did the innocent children have to do with the issue of the release of the Jews?

Such behavior “ordained” by God is a lie…a man-made myth trying to support the man made assertion that the Jews are God’s “Chosen People”. Such behavior has happened and still happens in 3rd world countries to this day, but it is not done by or ordained by God. It is done by murderous racists and terrorist men with bigotry in their hearts motivating their actions.

When we see such endless hate driven stories in the Bible, and there are many others (such as Joshua chapter 6) that showcase God ordaining genocide of all those the Jews conquered…when we read such stories, we can only come to one conclusion, and that is that they are man made lies.

Enough is enough, with not just simply ignoring this religious bigotry, but with CELEBRATING it and teaching these horrible lies about “God” to our children! This is where religious bigotry and racism have their roots, and it is the main reason we still have not achieved world peace – especially peace between Jews and Palestinians, or between Christians and Muslims for that matter.
